Francesco Murano lives and works in Varese. Born in 1961, as a child has an innate talent for drawing and at the age of twelve he began the study of portraiture and the copy from life with the technique of oil. Graduated as Master of Art and the artistic maturity at the Art Institute.

He enrolled at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan that will not end, in this period he worked as a portrait painter and caricaturist of the road and with the entertainment agencies for conventions for large Italian and foreign industries (Fiat-Lancia, Citroen, BMV, Hyundai, Bayer, Toro insurance, Tre Marie, Motta-Alemagna, Lancom, Makita, Mattel, EISA: European Imaging and Soud Association). Worked as a caricaturist for the broadcaster Tele Monte Carlo, and portraying characters from the world of entertainment (Amanda Lear, Jo ringing, Sandro Giacobbe, Gino Bramieri, etc.

Then feel the need to confront the great masters of the past, and performs copies of artists such as Orazio de Ferrari, Giovan-Battista Piazzetta, Bernardo Strozzi, who can study from life in the Pinacoteca Brera. Fascinated from fine art, is particularly interested in portraiture and the oil technique, which will deal first with the brush and then with the spatula. He worked as a freelance illustrator for advertising agencies Italian and foreign.

He worked for two years with the Art Gallery Stone Sansoni, where he exhibited in collective with artists such as Tomato, Guttuso, Cascella, Scannavino and others. In 2006 and 2008 came as a finalist in the "Premio Arte" exposing along with other artists his work at the Museum "The Permanent" in Milan. His paintings are in private collections in Italy and abroad.
